Our story
Power Up Club is built on the belief that strong minds and active bodies grow together. We help children feel calm, confident and capable through movement — building self-regulation (managing emotions and staying calm) and resilience (keeping going and bouncing back), not just fitness.

What we do
Weekly active sessions building skills, teamwork and confidence — supporting self-regulation (managing emotions and staying calm).
Fun, active, inclusive days in the school holidays for ages 5 to 11.
Energising movement and wellbeing sessions for classes or year groups.
Targeted support to build resilience (keeping going and bouncing back) and confidence.
Shorter themed sessions in half-terms and holidays.
Active, fun-filled celebrations packed with games and challenges.
Evidence behind the approach
Research consistently shows that regular physical activity can positively support children's emotional regulation. Recent peer-reviewed studies indicate that structured movement programmes are linked to improvements in emotional control, impulse management, and the ability to cope with stress. By combining purposeful physical activity with clear routines and supportive environments, schools can help pupils develop the skills needed to regulate emotions more effectively.

Parent reviews
Power Up Club has made such a difference to my son. He comes home more settled, more confident and actually talks about what he learned in the session. He has always struggled with focus, but these routines and activities have really helped him manage his emotions better.
My daughter absolutely loves Power Up Club. She usually finds after school clubs overwhelming, but this is the first one she has stuck with and genuinely looks forward to. The mix of movement and mindset work has helped her become more positive and resilient at home too.
I cannot recommend Power Up Club enough. My child has always been quite anxious, and the sessions have given him practical tools to stay calm and regulate himself. His teacher has even mentioned that he is more focused in class on the days he attends.
Power Up Club has been a brilliant part of our daughter's week. She loves the activities and comes home buzzing with things she has learned. We have noticed a huge improvement in her confidence, especially when dealing with challenges or disagreements with friends.
This club has made such a positive impact on my son. He has struggled with behaviour in the past, but since joining Power Up Club he has become more aware of his emotions and handles frustrations much better. It is structured, fun and genuinely helps children grow.
